lovely things

February 1, 2011

Just a few shares that I figured you should know about.

The full length record by The Civil Wars, Barton Hollow, is out now. Go and get yourself a copy, sit back, and enjoy… repeat. Also, check if they’ll be in a town near you, these coming months. I hope they add an Oregon date later on! (fingers crossed)

It’s no mystery, I love British dramas, and Masterpiece Classics on PBS seems to know this. Downton Abbey premiered here in the States, during the month of January. With only four episodes, 90 min. each (almost like mini-films), I’ve fallen in love with the story and its characters. I’m a sucker for period dramas, the costumes of those times, and mostly the way they spoke to one another, so proper and politely (even when they’re insulting you, it sounds great!). Dame Maggie Smith steals every scene with her one-liners, which she delivers so smoothly. Also, the charming Dan Stevens (Matthew Crawley) is quickly becoming one of my favorites on the screen.

Watch online while you can! Viewing expires on the 22nd of this month. I hope you enjoy it.

Downtown Abbey I have not seen, but sure it’s amazing.
