Hey there,
Happy half-way-there day! Hope today is treating you well. Outside can’t make up its mind, sunny, grey, cold, windy… what will it be?

Today, I get to continue my little personal project, inspired by March: Women’s History Month, that I started yesterday.

Who are some of the amazing women in your life?

>>

mami.
I came into my mother’s life, in her late teens. We have been through a lot together, and I’m thankful she said yes, to bringing me into this world. We fight, we cry, we laugh, we work together, we act silly, and we take care of each other. I’m so glad now that I’m old enough, I can really help her out when she needs me. My abuelita Juanita always told me to be good to my mom, to listen and to be patient with her, even when I didn’t find it easy. Wise lady, my grandma was.

La quiero mucho mami, gracias por ser buena y dura (cuando tiene que serlo) conmigo. xoxo

musica.
Today’s music share comes from Josh Rouse. I came across this track a while back, and today, it felt right to post it up. It really makes me want to be somewhere sunny, with a lemonade in hand, a flowery dress on, and some dancing shoes. Check him out, y que lo disfruten!

You still hold your mouth like that! I would like to meet you as a baby—that hair—those eyes—you were gorgeous. Just in case your mother reads your blog and all it’s comments I say this to her:

Dear Emily’s Mama, You have raised an AMAZING woman. I cannot thank you enough for her friendship and delight, her passion and her adorableness. You’ve done well. She loves you and talks about you often—never waver on that. Some day I hope to meet you.
